My name is Daniel Wilkenfeld, and I am an Associate Professor at the University of Pittsburgh. My PhD is in philosophy, which I teach at the School of Nursing. I also did a postdoc in cognitive science, a postdoc on transformative experience, and a postdoc on history and philosophy of science. My career path has been weird (but awesome!).
I write about whatever catches my interest, which has historically included philosophy of science (especially as it pertains to our concepts of understanding and explanation), philosophy of disability (especially as it pertains to autism), bioethics (especially as it pertains to nursing), and at least once Veronica Mars (especially as it pertains to how awesome the show was).
I spend most of my time parenting, teaching, researching, and comic booking, in approximately that order.
Here is my CV.
